Despite being born and raised in Edmonton, Dale’s childhood included frequent trips to the coast where it didn’t take long for the mild pacific air to beckon. And after starting his career at a small, ten thousand watt radio station in Northern Alberta – in a town where it was common to reach 40 below – that beckoning soon became a calling!
Since moving to Vancouver in 1994, along with a couple of stints as a golf pro, Dale has also combined broadcasting with a film career as an actor, writer and filmmaker. He currently has a number of film projects on the go, and considers it a honour that over a million people care enough to tune into his afternoon radio show every week – where he combines a generous portion of today’s soft rock music with his unique take on current events.
Dale believes we only get one crack at this thing called life and should embrace all of it – the ups and the downs – with gratitude, passion and recognition of our own inner power. He has two sons, is a self admitted beach bum (but is considering a 12 step program), loves boats and the water, still enjoys the odd golf game, and still pinches himself when reflecting on the prospect of getting to live where we live!
